背景介绍

Syndetin, also known as CCDC132 or VPS50, is a critical component of the endosome-associated recycling protein (EARP) complex, which also includes ANG2/VPS51, VPS52, and VPS53 in a 1:1:1:1 ratio. The deduced 964-amino acid protein contains alpha-helical N- and C-terminal regions connected by a less structured middle region. CCDC132 is elevated in gastric cancer, where knockdown attenuates proliferation and tumorigenesis by facilitating DNA damage signaling, and its expression correlates with nodal metastasis and poor prognosis.
