背景介绍

PRRC2C encodes a RNA-binding protein that participates in stress granule assembly and is found in the cytosol and cytoplasm. The protein is also detected in cytoplasmic stress granules and membranes, placing it in compartments associated with dynamic post-transcriptional regulation. Expression measurements show particularly high levels in brain, respiratory system, and proximal digestive tract, supporting a role in tissues with active RNA regulatory demands.
