背景介绍
TAF7L encodes a transcription initiation factor that functions as a TAF7-like component of the TFIID general transcription factor complex. It is similar to a mouse gene encoding a TATA box binding protein-associated factor, and it shows testis-specific expression. The protein is associated with RNA polymerase II preinitiation complex assembly, transcription initiation at RNA polymerase II promoters, cell differentiation, and spermatogenesis.
