背景介绍
SFRP1 (Secreted Frizzled-Related Protein 1) is a secreted glycoprotein that functions as a key modulator of the Wnt signaling pathway. The SFRP1 protein harbors two independent structural domains, namely the carboxy-terminal netrin (NTR) domain and an amino-terminal cysteine-rich domain (CRD). Secreted SFRP1 is an inhibitor of the Wnt signalling pathway and has been classified as a tumor suppressor gene due to the loss of its expression in many human cancers (PMID: 32074995). SFRP1 is necessary for stress-induced senescence caused by these factors and is sufficient for the induction of senescence phenotypes.
