SCGB3A1, also known as HIN-1 or UGRP2, belongs to the secretoglobin superfamily. This ~10 kDa secreted protein exhibits tumor suppressor activity through growth inhibition and is frequently silenced via promoter hypermethylation in breast, lung, and prostate cancers.( PMID: 30768367; 40691840)
