    Non-treated HeLa cells and Calyculin A treated HeLa cells were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 87714-1-RR (Phospho-Vimentin (Ser39) antibody) at dilution of 1:10000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. The membrane was stripped and re-blotted with GAPDH (60004-1-Ig) antibody as a loading control.

Vimentin, a kind of intermediate filament protein III in mesenchymal cells, has become a highly researched topic around the world in recent years, as it holds complex biological functions and plays an important role in the epithelial-mesenchymal transition in the evolution of various tumors. Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are widely studied for their application in cell therapy. The binding of AKT (tail region) to Vim (head region) results in Vim Ser39 phosphorylation enhancing the ability of Vim to induce motility and invasion while protecting Vim from caspase-induced proteolysis.
