The PUS7L protein, full name Pseudouridylate Synthase 7 Homolog-Like Protein, belongs to the TruD subfamily within the pseudouridylate synthase family. This protein is an RNA-modifying enzyme that functions in the cell nucleus, and its core function is to catalyze the isomerization of uridine (U) to pseudouridine (Ψ) in RNA molecules-a process known as pseudouridylation, which is one of the most abundant RNA modifications in cells.
