POU5F2, also named as POU domain, class 5, transcription factor 2m, is a 328 amino acid protein, which contains 1 homeobox DNA-binding domain and 1 POU-specific domain and belongs to the POU transcription factor family. POU5F2 as a transcription factor, localizes in the nuclues and may exert a regulatory function in meiotic events that are required for terminal differentiation of male germ cell.
