背景介绍

Oncoprotein-induced transcript 3 protein (OIT3) is a liver-specific protein. It is involved in various biological processes, including lipid metabolism and ferroptosis regulation. OIT3 has been shown to mediate macrophage polarization and facilitate hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) progression by regulating the arachidonic acid metabolism and reactive oxygen species (ROS) accumulation (PMID: 35353239). Additionally, OIT3 is implicated in the regulation of lipid metabolism, particularly in the context of triacylglycerol and very low-density lipoproteins (VLDLs) in the liver (PMID: 36132142).
