背景介绍
NEUROD4 is a basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) transcription factor encoded by the NEUROD4 gene on human chromosome 12q13.2. It mediates neuronal differentiation and is required for amacrine cell fate specification in the retina. Expression is enriched in brain, adrenal gland, and retina. Orthologs exist in mouse (Math3), rat, zebrafish, and chick.
