背景介绍
NCKAP5 (Nck-associated protein 5), also known as NAP5. NCKAP5 is predicted to be located in cells, especially in nucleoli, Golgi apparatus, cell membrane and cytoplasm. It is widely expressed in many tissues, especially in lung and kidney, and in more than 20 other tissues. And the expression of NCKAP5 was enhanced in oligodendrocytes, oligodendrocyte precursor cells and astrocytes. It may interact with other protein, such as NPM1 and centromere protein complex, and regulate accurate chromosome segregation and distribution. NCKAP5 may be involved in the formation and development of tumors, especially in the process of tumor variation such as ovary and breast cancer. In addition, NCKAP5 may be a diagnostic biomarker in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), which is related to the infiltration of activated B cells, regulatory T cells (Tregs), neutrophils and dendritic cells (PMID: 36628881). The molecular weight of NCKAP5 is 208 kDa, it also has some protein modifications.
