Product Information
KE10158 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The mouse CD27 ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous mouse CD27. The assay recognizes mouse CD27. An antibody specific for mouse CD27 has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The mouse CD27 protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for mouse CD27 is added to detect the captured mouse CD27 protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
CD27 (also known as TNFRSF7) is a lymphocyte-specific member of the TNF/NGF-R family, which is found in NK, T, and B cell populations. CD27 is a T and B cell co-stimulatory molecule. Its activity is governed by the transient availability of its TNF-like ligand CD70 on lymphocytes and dendritic cells. This interaction may have a key role in controlling the size and function of antigen-primed lymphocyte populations. CD27 is also required for the effective generation and long-term maintenance of antigen-specific CD4+ and CD8+ T cell immunity.
