背景介绍

MIB1(Mind bomb homolog 1) is an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase that mediates ubiquitination of Delta receptors, which act as ligands of Notch proteins. MIB1, identified as an interactor of death associated protein kinase (DAPK), probably regulate apoptosis through ubiquitination and degradation of DAPK, thereby antagonizing anti-apoptotic effects of DAPK1 to promote TNF-induced apoptosis. MIB1 promotes proteasomal degradation of NRF2 and sensitizes lung cancer cells to ferroptosis(PMID: 34670864). In addition, MIB1 upregulates IQGAP1 and promotes pancreatic cancer progression by inducing ST7 degradation(PMID: 33793053).
