背景介绍
LENG8 is the core factor of the key RNA quality control system discovered in recent years, which plays a goalkeeper role in the regulation of eukaryotic gene expression. LENG8 promotes the recruitment of PAXT complex and RNA exonuclease, and mediates the degradation of abnormal RNA. It is a multifunctional evolutionarily conserved protein, which plays a key role from yeast to human beings. It is an important node molecule connecting gene post-transcriptional processing, RNA quality control and cell energy metabolism.
