Background Information
CCDC134 (coiled-coil domain containing 134) encodes a secretory protein that can inhibit the MAPK pathway as a novel human MAPK-regulating protein. CCDC134 is in extracellular secreted form, promotes proliferation and activation of CD8(+) T cells, suggesting a cytokine-like function. CCDC134 is widely expressed in normal adult tissues, tumor tissues and cell lines.
