KE00963 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The human TCL1A ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous human TCL1A. The assay recognizes human TCL1A. An antibody specific for human TCL1A has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The human TCL1A protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for human TCL1A is added to detect the captured human TCL1A protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
TCL1A, also named TCL1 and p14 TCL1, enhances the phosphorylation and activation of AKT1, AKT2 and AKT3. and promotes nuclear translocation of AKT1, enhances cell proliferation, stabilizes mitochondrial membrane potential and promotes cell survival. TCL1A immunodetection is an independent marker of adverse outcome that could be used in routine settings for the management of DLCL patients. TCL1A expression is correlated with shorter time to treatment in chronic lymphocytic leukemia cases and shorter lymphoma-specific survival in mantle cell lymphoma series. It is a potential therapeutic target.
