Product Information
KE00821 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The human MCM3 ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous human MCM3. The assay recognizes human MCM3. An antibody specific for human MCM3 has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The human MCM3 protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for human MCM3 is added to detect the captured human MCM3 protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
Minichromosome maintenance protein 3 (MCM3) is a key component of the MCM protein family, which plays a crucial role in the initiation and regulation of DNA replication. MCM3 is highly conserved across species and is essential for maintaining genomic stability. In recent years, research has shown that MCM3 is overexpressed in various cancers, including hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), ovarian cancer, and medulloblastoma. MCM3 is involved in multiple biological processes, such as cell cycle regulation and cell proliferation. Functional enrichment analysis suggests that MCM3 is mainly involved in cell cycle and cell metabolic pathways. Furthermore, MCM3 is involved in the formation of pre-replicative complexes and is regulated by phosphorylation during the cell cycle.
