背景介绍

The 5HT2A Receptor gene (HTR2A) codes for a G-protein coupled receptor and belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. HTR2A plays a key role in serotonin pathway regulation. HTR2A affects neural activity, perception, cognition, and mood and functions as the main target of atypical antipsychotic drugs (PMID: 17691947, 21550210). 5HT2A Receptor has 2 isoforms with the molecular mass of 44 and 53 kDa.
