背景介绍
ELF4 (E74-like ETS transcription factor 4), also widely known as MEF (Myeloid Elf-1-like factor), is a protein-coding gene in humans located on the X chromosome. It encodes a sequence-specific DNA-binding transcription factor that belongs to the evolutionary conserved ETS family. ELF4 is abundantly expressed in normal human hematopoietic tissues. It modulates the cell cycle, ensuring a balanced transition of hematopoietic stem cells and endothelial cells between a resting (quiescent) phase and active cell division (PMID: 40083328). IP analysis detected bands at 71 kDa, while the 90~100 kDa band could be post-translational modification.
