背景介绍
EGR4 is a member of the Early Growth Response (EGR) family of transcription factors, which also includes EGR1, EGR2, and EGR3. These proteins are characterized by their rapid and transient induction in response to a wide array of extracellular signals. EGR4 functions as a sequence-specific DNA-binding protein that regulates the expression of target genes involved in critical biological processes, most notably in the nervous and immune systems.
