背景介绍
DNAJC14, also known as HDJ3 and DRIP78, is a novel J domain protein. DNAJC14 contains 702 amino acids, is a novel member of the molecular chaperone family, and is functionally related to dopamine signal transduction. DNAJC14 is highly expressed in the pancreas and shows selective expression in the brain, lung, liver, skeletal muscle, and kidney(PMID: 12768437). DNAJC14, a heat shock protein 40 (Hsp40) cochaperone, assists with Hsp70-mediated protein folding(PMID: 26739057).
