背景介绍
Contactins are nervous system-specific members of the immunoglobulin superfamily, comprising six subtypes: contactin, TAG-1, BIG-1, BIG-2, NB-2 and NB-3 (PMID: 19262165). They are structurally and functionally conserved among species and predominantly expressed in neurons (PMID: 25300137). As a GPI-anchored synaptic adhesion molecule, CNTN4 (BIG-2) regulates brain axonal activities (PMID: 14571131). Elevated CNTN4 expression in tumors suppresses the anti-tumor immunity of T cells (PMID: 39392894).
