背景介绍

ANKRD13A, also named ANKRD13, a 590 amino acid protein, which contains two ANK repeats and four UIM (ubiquitin-interacting motif) repeats. ANKRD13A localizes in the cell membrane. ANKRD13A as ubiquitin-binding protein that specifically recognizes and binds 'Lys-63'-linked ubiquitin, not bind 'Lys-48'-linked ubiquitin. ANKRD13A positively regulates the internalization of ligand-activated EGFR by binding to the Ub moiety of ubiquitinated EGFR at the cell membrane.
