背景介绍

The ADAMTS (a disintegrin-like and metalloproteinase with thrombospondin motifs) is a family of extracellular metalloproteinases mediating diverse functions including matrix degradation, blood coagulation, and angiogenesis. The ADAMTS family constitutes a group of proteins composed of 19 enzymes and 7 ADAMTS-like proteins. ADAMTS14 possesses high similarity with ADAMTS2 and ADAMTS3 in sequence and domain composition (PMID: 11741898). The expression of ADAMTS14 is correlated with the occurrence and progression of colorectal cancer and oral squamous cell carcinoma (PMID: 34856162; PMID: 32102222).
