背景信息
TNFSF12, called TNF superfamily member 12, is also known as tweak (TNF-like weak inducer of apoptosis), DR3LG, APO3L, etc. It is a cytokine and belongs to tumor necrosis factor superfamily. The main receptor of TNFSF12 is fibroblast growth factor-induced early response protein 14(Fn14, also known as TNFRSF12A). TNFSF12 can activate tumor necrosis factor receptor-related factor (TRAF) signal pathway and nuclear factor κB(NF-κB) signal pathway after binding with Fn14, and then play its biological functions. It is widely distributed in many tissues and cell types, including fat, lung, heart, pancreas, skeletal muscle, small intestine, spleen and peripheral blood lymphocytes. Its expression level can be regulated by immune stimulation, inflammatory reaction and other factors.
