背景信息

IL-27A, also known as IL-30 or p28, is a subunit of the IL-27 cytokine, which is a heterodimeric molecule composed of IL-27A and EBI3. IL-27A is a part of the IL-12 family of cytokines and plays a significant role in the immune system, particularly in innate immunity. It has both pro- and anti-inflammatory properties and is involved in the regulation of T-helper cell development, suppression of T-cell proliferation, stimulation of cytotoxic T-cell activity, and induction of isotype switching in B-cells.
