Background Information
HEATR5B (HEAT Repeat Containing 5B) is a protein containing HEAT repeat that binds directly to the dynein tail and dynactin and has an evolutionarily conserved function in promoting the motility of adaptor protein-1 (AP1)-associated endosomal membranes.
