Product Information
KE01049 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The human eNOS ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous human eNOS. The assay recognizes human eNOS. An antibody specific for human eNOS has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The human eNOS protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for human eNOS is added to detect the captured human eNOS protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
eNOS (Endothelial Nitric Oxide Synthase) is one of the three isoforms of the nitric oxide synthase (NOS) enzyme family. It is primarily found in the endothelial cells that line blood vessels and is sometimes referred to as NOS3 or NOSIII. eNOS is responsible for the production of nitric oxide (NO) in the vascular endothelium, which plays a crucial role in regulating vascular tone, blood pressure, and overall cardiovascular health.
