背景介绍
Human PDZ domain-containing protein GIPC3 is a member of the GIPC (GAIP-interacting protein C-terminus) gene family, which is characterized by a single, conserved PDZ domain and GIPC homology (GH1 and GH2) domains. Aberrant expression of GIPC3 has been evidenced to correlate to the audiogenic seizures and sensorineural hearing loss in mouse and human (PMID: 36301034, 21326233). GIPC3 is upregulated in multiple cancer types, with a significant positive correlation of its expression with Hh signaling identified in melanoma cell lines (PMID: 34224745).
