Background Information
Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 11A (TNFRSF11A, also known as RANK, CD265, and ODFR) is the signaling receptor essential for osteoclast differentiation factor-mediated osteoclastogenesis and is involved in the regulation of interactions between T-cells and dendritic cells. The RANK/RANKL/OPG system is a key regulator in bone resorption, and its dysregulation can lead to pathological bone loss.
