Beyond skeletal biology, RANK regulatesimmune cell functionandmammary gland development. Genetic or pathological dysregulation of the RANK–RANKL–OPG axis underliesbone metabolic disorders,inflammatory osteolysis, andcancer-associated bone disease, positioning RANK as a central therapeutic target inbone and immune regulation.
