Background Information
TNFSF8 (tumor necrosis factor superfamily member 8), also known as CD30 ligand (CD30L) or CD153, is a membrane-bound cytokine that functions as the only known ligand for the TNF receptor superfamily member CD30. It is primarily expressed on activated T cells, B cells, monocytes, macrophages, mast cells and neutrophils, and plays a pleiotropic role in immune regulation, T-cell proliferation, apoptosis and Th-cell differentiation .
