Background Information
Granulocyte colony-stimulating factor receptor (G-CSFR) is a receptor for granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) and plays a crucial role in regulating neutrophil development and function. G-CSFR is essential for the proliferation, differentiation, and survival of neutrophil lineage cells. It mediates the specific effects of G-CSF through activating various intracellular signaling pathways, including the Jak/Stat, PI3/Akt, Ras-Raf-MAP kinase, and Src family kinase pathways. These pathways are involved in defense against infection, inflammation, and repair, as well as in maintaining steady-state hematopoiesis.
