热休克蛋白70 (Hsp70) 是一种分子伴侣，在蛋白质稳态、细胞信号传导及存活中扮演重要角色。在癌症中，Hsp70的过度表达与化疗及其他治疗的抵抗性增强有关。HSP70-IN-1通过剂量依赖性改变超分子复合体组分及破坏Hsp70-Hsp90机制客户体Raf-1，干扰Hsp70-HOP-Hsp90复合体的功能形成。在细胞内，HSP70-IN-1抑制了内源性及转染的Hsp70对热变性荧光酶的重新折叠。HSP70-IN-1还能引发癌细胞的凋亡。向癌细胞添加HSP70-IN-1剂量依赖性地改变Hsp70-HOP复合体的形成，与其稳定性降低和半衰期的减少相关[1]。
